FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION

Can you describe your typical training routine? Are there variations you try to incorporate? Anything special you include in your routine?

I work out anywhere between 4-5 days a week. Everyday I work out a different body area. My focus right now has been growing my lower body therefore, I have been incorporating leg day 3 times a week.

How difficult was it for you to begin your fitness journey? Has that changed over time?

At the age of 18 is when I got addicted to the gym and fell in love with results. While attending UTSA I worked at the Rec center and knew that being a part of the fitness community was for me. In 2018 is when I took my fitness journey very serious and went through a major cut. 2019 I decided to get into powerlifting. Although that was so much fun it put a good dent in my body and I wanted to cut again. Starting my journey was never difficult but I have changed the initial goal from time to time.

What inspires you to continue this fitness path?

RESULTS !!! The results I have seen this past year makes me hungry for more. I am currently in the best shape I have ever been. My nieces and nephews are my biggest motivation as well. They look up to me and often want to do pull ups in the play ground to be like their aunty. It’s so heartwarming and helps me push harder to continue being a great example for them.

Are there any tips or tricks you wish you had known when starting out?

I wish I listened to the advice everyone told me at the very beginning about how important eating is. PROTEIN PROTEIN PROTEIN !!! When I first started, I was super skinny but did not have any muscle and that is because I was not eating enough. I before also would not take any supplements. Prework out, creatine, karbolyn, greens …etc They have made such a huge difference in my growth.

Do you have any special diet tips and tricks? Special meals you like to include or items to stay away from?

I personally stick to meal prepping my meals Sunday night to have them for the week. I do one protein (Chicken or Ground turkey) with white rice or veggies. I switch if off every week so that I don’t get tired of eating the same thing.
The only trick I have is to still treat yourself to your favorite meals occasionally. I eat pizza in moderation because it is one thing I absolutely and refuse to give up.

What are your go-to supplements and why? How did you first learn about them and why do you prefer to shop at Rock’s Discount Vitamins?

There is no shop I trust like Rocks. The knowledge the team has is top tier!! My go to supplements are Mother bucker pre workout, Creatine, Karbolyn, Isolate clear one Protein, and Carnicuts. I will incorporate a stack of fat burners once every 3 months to help burn stubborn body fat. I learned about all these products by building a relationship with the rocks Family and sharing my fitness goals with them. Once they knew what direction I was wanting to head they advised me on what I needed. They have not failed me. The progress I have made within the last two years has been so incredible and I owe a lot of it to the team for putting me on game with the right products.

Are there any upcoming events or competitions you’re particularly excited about?

I am super excited to run the first ever Sobriety 5k Sept 14th along with participating in the USAA Zero PT day in October

What are your overall goals for the future?

Overall in the future I want to continue being the best version of myself. Remaining consistent and not losing sight of my fitness goals to stay lean and tone is my overall expectation for myself for as long as my body will allow me to.

How do you engage with the community, your fans, or followers?

The way that I engage with my followers is by providing constant content for them to see, such as Instagram reels and tiktoks. I also do my absolute best to engage in conversations via DM or comments about my journey or supplements I currently take. I also am a big fan of attending fitness pop up events to meet more people in the fitness community. I currently have my own pizza fitness clothing brand called One Slice At A time so that also has helped me remain engaged with the fitness community through sales and pop up events.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of sports?

Outside of the athlete world I enjoy attending concerts, hanging out with friends & Family, two-stepping and reading.
