I was an athlete growing up primary playing basketball, baseball and soccer. I am currently a NPC Men’s Masters Class Physique athlete. I am President of Business Professionals of San Antonio. I am also an ambassador for the Kansas City Chiefs. 2019 Lackland Classic NPC Men’s Masters 35 overall winner. 2020 Rocks Champions Men’s 35 Masters+ 4th Overall. 2021 San Antonio Classic Men’s Masters 35+ 2nd overall.

What is your typical training routine?
I usually wake up and do my fasted cardio in the AM. 5 days a week, 35-45 minutes. In the afternoons I go back to the gym and train clients / lift weights routine. 5 days a week.
What inspires you to continue fitness journey?
When I turned 35 years old I became sober and really focused on my fitness training. I started to compete in NPC competitions two years later.
Any tips or tricks when I first started out?
My journey of sobriety and my goals to become better in shape as my age increases in life.
Are there any tips or tricks you wish you had known when starting out?
I wish to would have known the importance of supplements & rest. So grateful now for my partnership with Rocks and their brand.
Special diet or tips?
I usually stay on the same type of foods all year round. Depending on if I’m cutting or gaining, I increase or decrease the amounts of the those foods. I keep my cheats minimal and usually those are pretty clean, sushi or steak.

Any upcoming events or competitions?
I’m planning on doing an NPC show this fall. I also have a Fashion For Life and Kanas City Chiefs fashion show planned for later this year. I want to be in top tier shape for all of those events.
What are your overall goals for the future?
I want to continue to better my health each and every year.
How do you engage with your community?
I am on social media under Christopher Matz. That my primary use for engagement. We also have a podcast called, “Empowerment in the 210.” Community outreach is another wonderful way that I engage with the community of San Antonio.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of sports?
Business Professionals of San Antonio, my church, Community Bible Church and hanging with my 4 year old boxer named Remi.
